/// Researchers at the University of Bath found that 89 per cent of white undergraduate men at two UK universities and one sixth form college said they were happy to kiss another man on the lips through friendship.///
Is this all researchers at Universities have to research, and why only white men?
I have noticed that the safe good old hand shake, has now advanced to a good hug and a pat on the back, even cheek to cheek, but a kiss on the lips ugh!.
No this should be reserved as a show of affection and passion between a man and woman.
Ah! the smell of perfume, and the taste of a good lipstick, yes "these are amongst our favourite things".

Hmmmm
Call me a pedant but I'd like to see this research's sampling criteria, the sample size and how the question was framed.
The result may be for white men only because I imagine other ethnic groups were separated and gave a result that was different (and less newsworthy?)
To my mind, lip contact is too sexual.
I don't kiss my daughter on the lips anymore (she's 21) - is that weird or correct?

It's a cultural thing
In the middle ages this was very common and there was nothing sexual about it at all.
Here's a picture of St. Peter and St. Paul having a snog

It doesn't upset me if others want to but I'd not be comfortable with it myself - we're all the product of our own seperate cultures.
