SMP for two part time jobs.

My wife has two part time jobs and she is currently pregnant. She qualifies for SMP from both. However one employer has just made her redundent, we are fairly sure they have to honour her maternity (she is within 15 weeks of her due date). They are now saying that she cant recieve two lots of SMP, and that her main employer has to pay it. Is this right as I have read that you can recieve two lots of SMP?

f you have two or more jobs

If you are an employee for two or more employers, you will get maternity leave from each job and you do not have to start each period of maternity leave at the same time. If you qualify for SMP from both jobs you will get two lots of SMP. However, if you do not qualify for SMP from job A you cannot get MA for job A if you are...

Not my province, but I googled and came up with this site (lots of answers about maternity pay on other pages of this site) - this is the page about having two part-time jobs - looks like she can have SMP from both employers (pro rata to the hours she works for each) http://www.worksmart....two_part_time_jobs_do
