Romantic honeymoon

After our wedding my wife and I went to the pictures in Manchester. That was our honeymoon, as we both had to go to work the following day. Was your honeymoon similarly romantic and exotic ?

oh eye, we went to Tenby (1978), I;d been to spain with my mates every year for the previous 6 years and so it was different holidaying in the UK (but preferred Torremolinos)

didnt have a honeymoon with the first mrs as i was stationed in germany at the time..went to france with mrsmaveric no2....

No we didn't have a honeymoon, Hubby went in to work on the next day as was self employed.

Yep our honeymoon was spent at the local pub in the evening, then back to work on Monday. We couldn't afford anything else.

Married on a Saturday, lived in a one bedroomed flat in Stamford Hill London,went into the bedroom with a packet of cornflakes, pint of milk and came out on Monday, both going back to work.

Went for a weeks tour round Southern Ireland - staying in a mixture of B&Bs and hotels, did get to spend one night in a Castle though.

Exactly, Gran, we couldn't afford anything else in those days.

The film wasn't up to much, either : 'Tunes of Glory', about a Scottish regiment.

an overnight in lancaster, back to new home in london.

Our flight to the Isle of Man was cancelled so we went by crowded boat in a gale. The first night was a night to remember for all the wrong reasons. It was the week of the Manx Grand Prix and as we were motorbike enthusiasts the rest of the week was superb.

we went to gran canaria. we didnt know where we were going to stay til we got there. apartments had cockroaches everywhere!

we didnt have much money and OH bought me loads of perfume in dutyfree so we ran out of money and had to live off love for last few days lol. at least i smelt nice though!

also got prickley heat rash so all in all a honeymoon to remember

Both teaching then and didnt have much money, so we went on a school trip to the south of France with a coach full of teenagers who insisted on watching The Bodyguard all the way there!

I went to a Dorset farm B&B for 2 nights followed by 4 days camping in N Wales. Tight git.

Sqad.....'Tunes of Glory' could have been the best film ever made. Any idea why we just couldn't get interested in it ?
