No win no fee canvassers.
My wife was hit from behind the other day whilst going around a roundabout, an old lady pulled out on her and hit the corner of the rear quarter of the car, the old lady stopped and got out and held her hands up, confessing that didn't see my wifes car, and she would cover all costs herself regarding damage, she was driving a brand new astra and that came of a lot worse than the wifes 8 yr old fiesta, anyway the wife got talking to one of those no win no fee people who approach you in shopping centres or on the street etc... he put a load of words in her mouth telling her she could claim for this and that etc.... he said he would then refer her to a company called Hill and Abbott solicitors, now all this was done at my wifes work place so i dont exactly know how far this claim has gone or just what she signed for, this only took place yesterday, i was quite annoyed with her as she could be signing for anything basically, so if he is refering her to a solicitor, wont there be some sort of cooling off period and shouldnt the solicitors be sending some paperwork for her to sign, she is beginning to get cold feet about claiming as to be quite honest she is fine!
So how far do you think this has gone?
