Firstly, happy Mothers Day to all mums.

Bobjugs has just had a peanut butter sandwich and I've just eaten half of a Soreen Malt Loaf. We're both saving ourselves for a nice meal out tonight.

What's featuring on your menu today?

Hi NoMercy!
We are having the M&S meal for 4 deal! I went yesterday to get it, so we are having;
Roast lamb (never have lamb as usually can't afford it!), vegetable selection, roast new potatoes, Profiterole Stack with cream and a bottle of rose wine!
I'm not cooking and am being throughly spoilt today :o)

Hope you and bobjugs enjoy your meal out later!
I'm still waiting for my mum to come round so that we can go shopping. If she doesn't turn up soon we're not going to have much time left. If she doesn't turn up then I suppose its just me and Little Tiggs on our own so no special lunch.
I'm having early English asparagus with hollandaise. All in the name of research as I need to test a recipe for hollandaise using a stick blender. It's a tough job but someone's got to do it :-)
recovery is the order of the day

just had an english breaky
ham salad sarnie just now, maybe something later, who knows!

Hiya guys.

Wingnut, I'm glad to hear that you are being spoiled. I've heard great things about that M&S stuff and I will get round to trying it myself one of these days.

Tiggs, I hope you enjoy today. Is this your first Mother's Day as a mum?

Buen provecho, Eccles! Save me some asparagus ;-)

Poor Alfie - you felt the same as me by the sound of it. lol

Cazzzy... Have a lovely Mothers Day. Will you be hitting a few balls later?
It is indeed NM :o)
Sorry NOM, I'm keeping the smelly pee all to myself ;-)
We have a houseful for dinner - no rest for the wicked! Dahl, veg curry, home made samosas, naan bread and rice for 7

Pixi, I wish I had someone to fill my freezer with Kibbeh. I love them but need to be in a certain frame of mind to make them though!

That sounds delicious, Taichi. That is my sort of food :-)

What's kibbeh then?

Hi NM, I have been spoilt, got a lovely Pandora charm off my daughter a fluffy pink and brown (not sure what it is,,ha-ha) off Ben ,a pen with Grandma on, a long stemmed pink rose, a tin of Roses and a huge boquet of flowers from Bills son
wish my dear old Mum was here today though
Have a nice day x
Kibbeh are minced lamb or beef with pine nuts and onion in a bulgar wheat crust. They are a popular mezze dish in the Middle East.
I'm cooking brisket, roast pots and veggies, no asparagus tho. That's too sophisticated for my lot :)

Thanks for the info, Eccles, I will try and find a recipe for those.

Hi Bobbi, nice to hear that you are having a lovely Mothers Day.

Alba, enjoy your roast. I've not had a good roast dinner in donkeys!
Neither have we Nom, but I'll keep on trying :D
The two eldest Junior O's are away, so youngest Junior O (11 last month) announced he was going to make my lunch.
After much slamming of the fridge & freezer doors I had no idea what he was making.

Tinned spaghetti hoops on toast was.....ok
It's the though that counts Mrs O!!! Hold onto that thought.....
