Pikies (Chavs) and their volume.
A friend of my wife had a party yesterday afternoon for her one year old daughter: My wife's friend married into a pikey family so, naturally, there were a lot of pikies there.
This is a serious question by the way, I'm not just having a pop at pikies.
Why are they so damn loud? Every pikey I've ever met has been loud when they talk.

We understand Chavs to be the Beckham/Posh/Rooney types, i.e. baseball caps, white trainers, Burberry clothing, etc.
Yes, Chavs as I know them are usually very loud and like everyone for miles to hear their conversations.
Pikeys are not particularly loud.
I've got some next door...chavs/pikies, not sure which, but definitely loud. They don't have conversations as such, they have competitions to see who can scream their opinion over everybody else's voice!
I'm not really complaining tho, it's like living next to a live Trisha show everyday, and they don't have any secrets...I know all the sordid details!!!! It's best when the mother gets plastered, she's actually called Jean but we refer to her amongst ourselves as Meg (short for megaphone!)
