I need to write an essay about a Robbery.I would like to know if they are phrases I can use to spice up my story.Thank you.I currently only know one.

Try this link. However, I would suggest you don't over use these expression, lest you end up with the robbers speaking a Dick Van Dyke version of Crim-Speak!

You have one guy pointing a gun at the shopkeeper, and the shopkeeper says 'give me the gun', and the gunman looks at his mate, who says 'let him have it'. and the gunman shoots...

This reminded me of a comedy programme years ago. In one scene the "Baddie" who has gone into a bank to rob it says to the teller " Stick ya hands up...Ya bum" brilliant acting as the look on the tellers face was a howler:----)))

'Blag' for a robbery was still 'underworld-speak' for the activity not long ago, I believe. I hasten to add that I know this only becasue I used to manage a hostel for ex-offenders. Honest!
