How old is too old?
25 Answers
Booking a holiday a few days ago, I was made to feel positively ancient by the young woman in the travel agents. She asked me if I wanted travel insurance with 'them'. I declined saying I buy mine yearly it works out cheaper now my wife and myself are over 75. 'Oh, I'm surprised you still want to go on holiday at your age' she said to me smiling. I only wished she'd said that to me BEFORE she took my credit card to pay for the flights.

I'm 79 JNO - still quite active - I have arthritis in my left knee, but apart from that god has been good to me - my doctor said I have the body of a tired teenager! I've never smoked, I do like the odd glass of vino or half of bitter, i've eaten my own farmed beef, pork lamb and chicken and I eat only butter (never marg) and I have cream and cheese, bacon and sausages and loads of fresh veg and fruit. My darling wife and I do a lot of walking here in Devon, and when the weather's warm enough, I go swimming in the sea at Woolacombe

The thing here is purception of the young of 'old' when I was young old people seemed old and they weren't 'with it'. But now I'm old i can see that it is not whether you are old but how you enjoy your life. So you are never TOO old but you may be resticted by other things like health or fear issues. It depends on your life skills and luck to a degree. Have a wonderful holiday.
