why would anyone do this
An explosion has rocked Oslo, and according to the latest news report it was a bomb. Who would do such a thing, and to what purpose? I know London has had it's fair share, but Norway? or is no country safe anymore.

Latest news.
There were scenes of carnage in central Oslo this afternoon after a car bomb exploded at a government office, killing at least seven people. Worse was to follow when a man dressed as a police officer tricked his way on to an island where a Labour Party youth summer camp was taking place - claiming he was there to beef up security - and then opened fire on the children. Up to 30 are believed dead on Utoya Island, where the Norwegian PM had been due to speak, and there were reports of bodies floating in the sea.
Dear God I despair.

norway has troops in afghanistan and has helped nato in various operations in recent conflicts, the man arrested may well be norwegian, but he could have become ''radicallised'' somewhere.. i did say some time ago on here that ''soft targets'' would be hit..terrorists dont have to score a ''spectacular'' every time to let us know they are still active..but nonetheless their atrocities are still very real and deadly to the victims of the ''soft targets''..there will be more to come..the terrorists have to be lucky only once in their quest to cause death and destruction..the security services have to be on their guard all of the time and sadly sometimes once is enough for the lunatics...
Its a sign of the times unfortunately. No I don't think any country is safe. England has a very bad track record for random attacks of violence which makes you think every time you step out of the door. We have pubs we manage in Stoke and violence is a weekly occurence. This seems to be the story in many areas over England. Its not the place, its the troublesome individuals who are to blame.
whitbybabe.i cannot for the life of me see the relevence of you managing a pub in stoke, where the odd fight might break out as it does in thousands of pubs in the u.k every weekend and the slaughter of innocent adults and children by a bomb and bullets..im sorry but you have totally lost me on your thoughts on this matter...
