How would you pronounce 'Role'. ?

I say that it rhymes with 'hole', 'pole', 'mole' etc...not as some folk say 'roll' which rhymes with 'bowl' 'soul' and 'scroll'... as examples.

I do have a friend who says 'cold' to rhyme with 'code' and 'told' is 'toad' - is that what you mean - I thought she was unique!!

Now, I'm Welsh valley girl and I would pronounce it rhyming with bowl!

I often get some townies mimic how I say things, but I don't care! I also pronounce 'ear' the same as 'year' lol!
