Kissing? ;-)
Question Author
and what about other countries?
it's like what do people in Turkey have on xmas day?
here you are, they call it different things in France http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/French_kiss
In france I think they call it (in my best Franglais) kissing avec les tongues
Similar with condoms - French letters are called "les Capots Anglaises" in France!
capotes anglaises, Boxy - capot is something different...
;-) thanks Mark - still a hood or bonnet, according to my dictionary....
A useless piece of trivia - there is a town in France called Condom
Correct.
To French kiss is to: faire une langue fourreé/rouler un patin/rouler une saucisse (à quelqu'un).
another muse
I wonder if the folk in Glockermara , ask after us?
... so (and I know I asked this before) what is the root, for the apartment called a Condominium?
Con (together) dominium (living)

By the way a typo in my previous answer - should be fourrée.
From the Latin suffix "com-" together and "dominium" right of ownership, whence we get the word domain.
You're slipping, Mark. It's a prefix, not a suffix.
By heck Mark, you are more than just a pretty face lol
Prefix, not suffix
I am indeed! Not only that, it's dominum not dominium...
You were right the first time with dominium, derived from dominus.
