Astronaut Education

I know that you have to have one of the following:

1. Bachelor's Degree in Engineering
2. Bachelor's Degree in Biological Science
3. Bachelor's Degree in Physical Science
4. Bachelor's Degree in Maths

I was particularly interested in the engineering field, but is there any specific engineering i need to be considered?

I never saw the removed thread but I assume that FingerMyAresehole didn't post a helpful reply.
I don't know the answer to powel11's query but i would guess that if biology and maths are acceptable then the specific field of engineering in an engineering degree won't be a major factor.
Is there much demand for Astronaut Education courses then?

I wonder whether you've followed the link all of the way through to get the maximum amount of information? Start by clicking on the link itself.

From there, click on the names of each of the trainee astronauts on the right. Then click on 'View Bio' to see exactly what each of them has studied.

You'll see that all of the trainee astronauts have several degrees, often in different disciplines and generally at Masters or PhD level. Additionally many of them hold high military rank.
