Positive story about Muslims in the Mail - what in God's name are they up to?
There are some certainties in life that we all take for granted...any single released by Jedward will be horrible to listen to, there will be rain on any UK bank holiday, and the Mail will always seek out a rollicking
anti-Muslim/feminist/gay/Labour/black story to induce spittle-flying episodes amongst it's readership.
So why the hell have they printed this positive story relating to Muslims' patriotism?

Could it be that the Mail's website has been hacked? Surely there was a story about a forced arrange marriage they could have printed instead? Or even better, a primary school forced to feed their kids halal meat?

That doesn't surprise me at all - my Muslim friends are proud of their British citizenship, they've been here a long time and put a great deal back into industry and commerce.
It would be interesting to know what the majority of the indigenous population said - most seem to defend their Britishness, but do nothing to try to keep up the reputation of their country, personally.

ooh! I bet this didn't go down well with the 'Daily Mail Hate Brigade', when are they going to suggest this is all lies?
Perhaps some should also trawl out that old chestnut, that which they are always keen to quote when anyone shows the least amount of patriotism.
'PATRIOTISM IS THE LAST REFUGE OF A SCOUNDREL'
But strangely in this instance no one has bothered, I wonder why?
No prizes for the answer.

I think the point of the question was nothing to do with the rights and wrongs of patriotism, rather surprise that the Daily Mail has apparently published an article which portrays Muslims in a positive light - positive that is in the eyes of the Daily Mail which presumably thinks patriotism is very good (as indeed it is expressed in the "right" ways).
