My daughter is going through a Goth phase and yesterday she shaved her eyebrows off.
I should have kept my mouth shut cos I upset her when I said she looked like Lord Voldemort

Mrs O is never vague!

I know what you mean Mrs O, I too upset my daughter a few years back. She had bought a strapless top and put it on to show me, at the time she was carrying a few extra pounds & as soon as I saw her in this top I couldn't stop myself saying "Corr, you've got shoulders on you like Mick Mac Manus"
She stormed upstairs & changed & never ever wore the top. Today 20 years on she still reminds me how much I hurt her. To me it was a little joke but to her a lifetime memory.

Been there Jem. I once inadvertently called my daughter "Chubbs". She has never forgiven me.
