Carbon under pressure?
If this is some sort of jokey definition, it might be a lump of coal under pressure.
I've got a picture on the wall that says "A diamond is a chunk of coal that made good under pressure".

Indeed, if you believe the AB homepage:

So perhaps the answer is 'girlfriend'.
