Poxy rain......

Was going to have a BBQ today but the rain put paid to that, looks like its rain all week!
Anyone else's plans been ruined by the great British weather?

Yes. Our daughter and I got a load of stuff together for a boot sale but we had to cancel the whole thing.

I had plans to lie in the garden in the sun reading... I've still done the reading but lying in the sun would have been nicer.

hasn't stopped me doing what I was going to do but it has involved a lot of wet weather gear and polishing of glasses cos I wasn't able to use contact lenses!

went to Battersea Park to see the flotilla and despite everything you heard on the telly, not a drop of rain fell on me. Great day out, though not like lying in the sun, obviously.

One of my friends was off watching the shannagans today as well jno.... Can't say I envy either her or you, just not my thing at all.

The Queen's day was a little soggier than planned.

But you're quids in if have investments in umbrellas.

Not really, all the doggy friends were present and the company and good fellowship isn't affected by the biting wind. A good neighbour has his barbeque going and we will pop round and have a glass or two shortly.

Helped my daughter inlaw weed and plant her beding plants just started to rain
as we were putting the last ones in

I did catch half hour of the Thames gig on tv but it's not really my idea of a fun day out.

Fair play to The Queen though, after a day out at the races I spend the next day in bed.

I am not specially royalist, but it was just amazing to see the river full of life like an old painting

Different colour, obviously, more like shades of grey. But it wasn't raining. That's the problem with the media, they were all at Tower bridge, and it was raining by the time the boats got there so the reports made it sound as if it was persisting down all day. It was not.

As usual we've missed out here. Just a drizzle this morning and water butts on the roof terrace empty. Garden's as dry as a bone. Would love to go to bed tonight and listen to the sound of rain falling.
