Last year my dear old Mum passed away at the grand age of 94.
My grandaughters of 5 years and 7 loved that old lady and loved
to hear her stories of when she was a little girl.
They always said too how nice she smelled. This was because
every day she loved to dab a drop of her fav0urite perfume on and
always did even when I was younger. She loved 'Elizabeth Arden's
Blue Grass'.
Before she died she sprayed a little on two silk scarves and gave one
each to the girls and said "These are to remember me by".
A few days ago my daughter was telling me Phoebe the 7 year old
was 'cheeky' to her and she had sent her to her room to think
about what she had said and to come down when she was ready
to say sorry.
Half an hour had gone by & it was very quiet upstairs so
she decided to creep upstairs to see what was going on, as she got
nearer to Phoebe's bedroom door she heard whispering, when she
opened the door she found Phoebe huddled on her bed with grand-
mothers silk scarf crumpled to her nose.
My daughter told me it brought a tear to her eye to think that dear
old lady was still bringing comfort to her little great grandaughter.
I too felt a tear well up & go to the dressing table where that precious
bottle of scent stood to give comfort to us all.
