I photographed the lovely sunset last night with my very new IPad and everyone I forwarded it to said it was upside down. What have I done wrong, or can I be a really clever clogs and send them a link to put pic the right way up? I know someone posted about this happening but I can't find the question.

i would save it looking four different directions at your end and ask someone patient to open four emails and tell you which is right!

You need to stand on your head next time you take such a picture.
You should be able to open the picture with some simple picture viewing or editing software then rotate it 180 degrees.

Not sure what is on the iPad to do this, but open the picture and see what options are available.

Next time hold the iPad the other way up (180 degress from what you did last time). Or as geezer says, next time stand on your head.
Remember.... home button at bottom or on the right next time...

And just search in the app store for photo rotate, there will be loads of apps that will rotate photos.

No, and the wombats were asleep.
My daughter is always sending me pics taken with her iPhone. I usually have to turn my laptop on its side or upside down to see them the right way up.

She says they are the right way up on the phone.

That's probably my trouble Cath. I can't be bothered to save them to my PC then turn them round the right way. I know which up they are supposed to be. Like annemollie , what I would like to know is:

Why aren't the pictures the right way up in the first place.

The photos were the right way up on the I Pad and received the right way up on mobiles - the problem was PCs.
Believe me, I didn't hang upside down from my second floor window to take them.
