Which Roads Could I Practice On?
14 Answers
I am 23 with a provisional license. I have a 600cc motorbike. I know how to ride but obviously cannot go on the roads until I pass my full motorcycle test. My motorcycle is without MOT/Tax/Insurance. Are there any roads I CAN practice on? (The aim of me practicing is to continue practising what I'm being taught on my lessons.) I obviously don't want to break the law so I was wondering if theres any loopholes/permitted areas I can practice such as private roads or dirt tracks? Thankyou for any information :)

You'd be OK on farm tracks which are not public highways but I doubt you'd get a farmer willing to give you permission on health and safety grounds.

What about dirt circuits? Like the ones used for motorcross etc... I'm not saying I want to do the track but there's usually a central island thats just flat... Obviously kids race on those too so I'm guessing that takes care of the license part... just wondering if it also gets rid of the tax, test and insurance part...
