Is this originally a qoute by John Dryden, or is it from Einstein?. I've seen it referenced to both, and a number of variations with the wording.

I thought it was by Kipling, but when I started looking I found loads of sites attributing it to Einstein, some to Dryden, with a reference (Spanish Friar Act 2 scene 1) which I have no way of checking at present. I can't find any mention of Franklin in my searches, what makes you think it is one of his?
