Shouldn't we instead replace the feasting with fasting and create a National Day of Atonement and mourning to acknowledge the genocide of indigenous people that is central to the creation of the United States?
I was in the states recently and was talking to the native American elders who were in the Bidai tribe and it really is a sad story of genocide, the rape of the land and peoples and land thievery on an unimaginable scale.
Instead of celebrating these heinous acts let us take this day as a day of rememberance and reflection.

04 is a very good year for the Bordeaux...........none on sale in Truro, dave - worth stocking up on......
11 is very young - and the reports on Burgundy are "mixed" -
one could fear a fruity vintage lacking some depth, freshness and nerve. However, early tastings suggest that they may be better than expected. Sorry to be on the hedge on this one......do you have the domaine details and then I can price check.....a Leflaive comes in around 18 to 20 a bottle for example (in a case)
