'Xmas' or 'Christmas'?

As somebody who hates Americanisms with a passion I caught myself out a couple of days ago saying Xmas instead of Christmas. I wondered What do other ABers think about this?

I still like Christmas
i type it out as xmas sometimes but always say christmas if talking about it face to face with someone. Can't give you a reason why though. I'm not religious at all.

Diwali - 13th November
Al-Hijira - November 15th.
Ashura -November 24th
Thanksgiving - November 25th
Sangha Day - November 28th
St Andrew's Day - November 30th
Advent - 2nd December (Start of Christmas)
Hannukah this year is December 8th until December 16th
Orthodox Christmas - 7th January

It is indeed the season to be jolly, somber or sober, depending on your religion or lack of it.

I honestly do not like xmas,I do not say It or write It.To me personally It Is Christmas.I am a Catholic and have only been brought up with Christmas,the celebrating of Christ.
