If Music Is The Food Of Love Etc, Why Do I Hate These Questions ?!
16 Answers
I am doing a music quiz in a local paper & I have five questions out of 50 that I can't find any info. for & I have really looked at them. I don't know if I should list them seperately or not, but here goes:
1. Which band formed their own record company called Sub Rosa ? ( There are many references to the name but I haven't found a relevant one.)
2. On which 1981 Uk number 2 was Peter Gabriel reportedly featured?(There were approx. 18 no. 2's in 1981 & I have had a good look at all of them)
3. Which number one was originally called "Good Night" ? (nuthin !)
4. Which band, who were not too good at spelling, owed part of the sucess of their number two hit to Herbie Hancock? (nuthin to offer)
5. Which folk/rock band who only reached the top ten once,& had fans who called themseves Angels ? (have tried Steeleye Span, Renaissance, etc.) MANY THANKS.( I know they are hard)

I would really like to thank you all for your help, it's much appreciated. What really bugs me though is my inability to search the web in such a way that I find these answers. I rejig the info in as many ways as possible. I find the easy ones ok, and I was wondering if you minded telling me exactly what you keyed to bring the answers up, because I really want to be capable of having a go myself. That is assuming you don't mind telling me. Anyway that's just two left to find which is fantastic. Thanks again and Happy New Year to all of you
No offence intended dr.pop. I know you have given me pointers in the past but my flippant comment was based on something that I believe I have said to you before. I have on occasions wondered if you are the person who sets the quiz and you monitor sites like this and offers advice to the punters where possible like a benevolent Father Christmas, but then on other occasions I have wondered if you are a fellow competitor, and now I know. So when I said what I said, it was because it felt as though the answer was correct but you were putting doubt in my head so I meant it in a jokey fashion. You know I don't know why I do this quiz it drives me to distraction I never get close enough to win, its too damned hard for me and yet I'm attracted like a moth to a flame. I am always about 20/30 answers short. So I will say again politely that I feel as though the answer fits. Outkast is mis-spelt, they had a number 2 hit, and unless I am not reading things correctly Herbie Hancock was involved, but I stand to be corrected on that.
