Today I met a gentleman from Brixton who, on saying goodbye, told me to 'keep it real'. I said I would and, as a man of my word, I plan to. However, I don't know what keeping it real entails. Please can someone enlighten me?

I didn't know. But it seems to mean keep a level head.
You could always pretend to keep it real !
