I understand where you dance as a hobby and learn ballroom or streetdance etc, or sing as part of a musical skill, but I don't get the attraction of dancing at parties and singing along to stuff in the hairdressers, what is all that about?
I don't get any of that at my barber's shop (not even barbershop singing). All I get is 'just a tidy round, please, with a square neck,' and a pensioner's discount. Where are these all-dancing, all-singing hairdressers?
I don't dance at parties, never have, and my hairdressers is a serene and relaxing oasis, no mobile phones and no singing. However each to his and her own
Its probably something that makes us 'human'...we make music, and we move to it. Its really quite instinctive and primitive...our ancestors have all done it.
