Yes, what Warner said probably was disrespectful to a fellow professional but this is The Ashes, when you're playing in their back yard and having lost the last 3 Ashes series they're going to do and say ANYTHING to get under our lads skin.
The stiff upper lip and rise above it stance won't work while we're Down Under, we have to respond in exactly the same manner i.e. be a bit more chirpy in the field and offer up a bit of chin music now and again to keep the batsmen on their toes.

Clarke obviously psyched Jimmy out and he fell for it, it worked.
This is Test cricket and The Ashes to boot, do you really think they will play nice in their own back yard?
They've lost the last 3 Ashes series, they've manned up, grown a pair and are fighting.
Be good to see our guys do the same, we are timid in comparison.
What do we expect? Clarke to say "Excuse me James, you may wish to defend yourself a little here as this over may be a tad ferocious. Best of luck old chap".
Stop playing nice, send a few around THEIR ears and GET STUCK INTO THEM!

Trouble the England players thought it was going to be easy.Buoyed up by Botham's ridiculous 5-0 forecast they thought they only had to turn up to win.A bit of sledging is par for the course but some of this is going a bit far.If true about the reference to the train crash his sister was involved in when a New Zealand player was at the wicket in a previous test then the Aussies will stop at nothing to get under a players skin.
