www.imdb.com spells the character's name as Marsellus, so you might have more luck googling that, or even Marcellus, which is probably the most usual way of spelling it even if it's not Tarantino's way.

I heard the myth surrounding the plaster is that it covers the hole where Marsellus's soul came out, and that it's his soul in the briefcase. No, I didn't make it up!

Delboy .. u are totally right. 

Quentin Tarintino posted an explained years ago explaining that the plaster represented Marcellus' soul, to which he had sold to the devil.  It was his soul in the brief, (to which you never see what it inside except for a golden glow when Vinvent Vega opens it in the kitchen).
