how long does it take to break them in?
I wore mine for the 3rd time yesterday while walking in the mountains, and yet again a blister on back of one of my feet, i say this, sods law comes to mind, the 1st walk i had a nasty blister on my left foot only, so put a cushion plaster on that to protect it, would you beleive it, i got a blister on my right foot this time!!

The best advice I've had is to wear the boots around the house a little bit each day so they start taking on your foots shape and your gait. Wear them on short trips to the shops etc, etc. Normally they will take a few weeks this way.
Another good tip if you want to continue using the new ones for walking is to wear 2 pairs of socks or to adjust the laces (loosen them) so the contact with your blisters is lessened. If they are leather, you can get some sort of oil to rub in to soften then (not sure what it is, but if you are horsey, try some saddle soap)
Other than that, I can't think what else might help, but am sure another AB'er will know :-)
