Garden Quote
I have just had a garden quote delivered. It includes some gravelling. Would flagging be cheaper - I prefer flags as more easy to keep neat in autumn (son gave the wrong instructions)
Also - the quote is £1,200 - would it be cheeky to offer £1,000 for cash?
Any advice would be so welcome

A friend and I dug up the old grass laid membrane which I bought by the metre from a local builders merchants cost about £15. I used quite large pebbles and I used 1.5 cubic metres of pebbles. Which provided good coverage about 2" deep. Pebbles cost me £120 including delivery. I shopped around for the pebbles and found a haulier that dealt in aggregates.

there are block options that are allowed without planning permission but they may cost more than gravel.
