.. Are you a female & do you whistle? .. as in whistling a tune & not whistling at someone you like the look of! What are womens thoughts on other women whistlers? What are mens views on women who whistle?

The reason I ask .. I do whistle occasionally in work & today a man came to me & said .. Elina .. I have a print out for you ..it's of an old Scottish proverb dating from 1721 entitled.. i can whistle, not very well. its not something i do as a rule, can't remember the last time i did

there is a guy who comes into the spa at the gym and whistles, its echos round the spa and is incredibly irritating... i had a word with his wife :-D

I whistle a lot and actually quite well. I almost do it on autopilot though and people at work often comment. My mother used to tell me off regularly quoting the crowing hen thing.

I occasionally find myself whistling to a song on the radio, but not in tune and definitely not in front of anyone else.
Years ago, my next door neighbour often had a (male) friend to stay who would whistle loudly outside my bedroom window every morning. It almost drove me mad.
