Ebay - Have Removed My Option To Leave Feedback On One Case...?

I recently had trouble with a seller, which ebay have now refunded me, but I wanted to leave feedback detailing the sellers underhand behaviour - but ebay has removed that function for me!
It now just says i cant leave feedback because either the item number doesnt exist or i have already left feedback!

Why would they do that - surely that is the point of feedback - to let people know of problems or absence of them...

I am not one for just ranting and insulting etc on feedback - i try to explain why etc

Any ideas why they would do that?

Too long after the end of the transaction? You only get 60 days

If they removed the listing owing to your issues I think you can't then leave feedback which frankly sucks :(

Just move on from it. We had a nightmare buyer who expected us to deliver an item to her in London, even though we live in South Devon and had listed it as Collection Only. The thick idiot didn't even know where Devon was, had no car and didn't have the money to pay for it. EBay should kick these people off, but don't. Always check feedbacks.

you have had a refund so ebay closed the transaction

spanner, i am not losing any sleep over it, but whats the point of have a feedback option if you are not allowed to leave it?

dr filth - yes i realise that - but why?
the transaction still happened, just because they refunded doesnt mean it no longer exists - it means it was a transaction continued after delievery.
i have been refunded before and been still able to leave feedback.

i am not going to kick up a fuss, i dont care that much, but it just seems a bit odd - the hassle i have had with them and i am not allowed to note it for other buyers ... perhaps this has happened many times before - but i wouldnt know because there is no feedback to tell me...

they have changed a few things recently but from memory i was asked if i wanted it closed after a refund , i clicked yes and then i was not able to leave feedback

to be honest i don't use ebay as much these days as there is a lot of fake gear and dodgy sellers ,
