At the moment the last legitimate stocks of smallpox virus are held by Russia and the US - who are, of course, entirely trustworthy countries who have never indulged in "my weapon is bigger than your weapon" posturing with stuff that could wipe out the world.
Oh no - that would be very dangerous ...
... but that did make me think - which countries would you trust with the ultimate weapon - assuming that they could secure it and therefore the only threat would be from them misusing it themselves?
Sweden? Switzerland? Scotland?
Any thoughts?
