Price Of Butcher Meat
19 Answers
haven't been to the butcher's for quite a while.
Toddled in yesters to get 1lb of steak mince.
Was horrified at the price, just over £4.
I swear blind it was about £3 this time last year, what sort of price do you pay for butcher meat?
(if you don't mind me being nosy)

Out local butcher was offering mince at £8.36 per kg the other day (£3.80 per pound) but offering ½kg free with every 1kg purchased, making it just £2.53 per pound really.
World meat prices (especially beef) are rising rapidly (and are expected to continue to do so for at least a decade) because of increased demand from China. (The same applies to dairy products, so expect to see milk prices going up very soon).
