Evening all...

I hate asking this sort of question,you know the kind..."I was in a shop the other day and heard a song being played....."  you know the drill? Well, here goes...

The song was sung by a female artist,very similar vocal style to Macy Gray. I think it's a pretty recent release as I swear I've heard it on the radio in the past month or so.

The only lyrics I can remember are "Cross(ing?) my heart and hope(hoping?) to die.."

This is repeated a couple of times,quite a slow tempo song.

Apologies for so little info...hope you can help?

If you google the lyrics you have mentioned - then you get Dolly Parton Elvis to the Housemartins.

Tried google and other lyric sites last night but no luck. Definitely not Dolly Parton or Elvis though mate.
