I'm a huge fan of CSI and have noticed when they have an unidentified corpse they always name it John Doe. Why is this, can anyone enlighten me?

For more on marking an answer as the "Best Answer", please visit our FAQ.it's the traditional term in the USA for an unnamed person in legal proceedings etc (Jane if female). See wikipedia - which says Γιώργος Τάδε is the Greek version, how about that.
The girl who they questioned in the beginning who admitted to pouring the acetone on the car. It was her (ex) boyfriend who did it. The guy who was carrying boxes from the house to his boot when they came to question the girl.
Another question. Why would you use acetone in a hair dressers? I understand amonia and peroxide but what's acetone used for?
