One and the same.
A spider web, spiderweb, spider's web, or cobweb (from the archaic word coppe, meaning "spider"
They are the same. I've just checked and coppe is a very old obsolete middle english word for spider.
Can tell im getting squiffy, had to read Prudie's reply several times as I was convinced she'd typed ' omelette'

Since a spider spins it, it is fair to call it is spider's web; short for spider's cobweb. Good to hear how the name came about though.
However, there is more to the differences between 'cobwebs' and spider webs than just the archaic name of one, as referenced in this article:
