Well Nan, like with Grandad, I honestly didn't think this day would come. I feel so blessed to have had you in my life. Thank you for all the wonderful memories. One of the reasons I don't wear skirts is because, like you, I pull it up at the first sign of a radiator. Thanks for giving me my first job making the sandwiches for the darts and pool teams. Three nights a week for £1.50. Yes Nan, you heard that right....£1.50! You made me balance the books for The Vol when I was 8 years old. It took you a couple of years to let me know I didn't run the place too. Thanks for the maths lessons and the hours of conversations spoken solely in French. Thanks for our Wednesday dates....you, me and Bubbles the palomino. Thanks for our Thursday dates....my choice of food. Thanks for travelling to all areas of town to pick me up from my mates and take me to the caravan. Thanks for turning worrying trips to John Radcliffe into fun days. Thanks for the holidays and introducing me to Ascot. Lucy and Emma are coming this year, so three granddaughters and one great granddaughter carrying on the tradition you started. Most of all Nan, thanks for being the wonderfully, kind, beautiful, funny person you were. Never a cross word from you....well, there was that one time with the slipper, but the less said about that the better. Tomorrow we will give you the send off you deserve. I love you Nan. Always have, always will. God bless you always. Xxxx
My Sister^^^^
She forgot to mention the ice cream & sprinkles and the sausages that were always there...and gramps seaweed soup.
