I've just found another brief reference to the verse. I won't give a link here because it' 'timed out' dozens of times before I found a 'saved version' of the page - and even then it only gives a few lines (most of which have already been quoted).
However it does revise the 'One' line from Denis567's version to this one:
"One is just an AC2 and ever more shall be so".
The reference was in a letter sent to the magazine of the RAF Yatesbury Association five years ago and cites the song as being recalled from the correspondent's days of "square bashing at Wilmslow in 1959", which might help to date it.
