I would agree with divebuddy – the only ones I have any sympathy for are those who have been sub-let a property, but the real tenant is not passing on their rent to the landlord.
Most of those evicted are outraged that they can be thrown out of the property, having paid no rent for 6 months or more. They certainly have a twisted view of their entitlement to others property.

Before I retired I was in a job which often involved tricky telephone conversations with people who needed telling firmly exactly why my government department was a bit cross with them. Lost count of the number of times the phone was answered in perfect English but suddenly "no English, no understand" makes us lose sympathy for the ones who genuinely need help.
