Help Needed Please

Yesterday I was given a local quiz but it only has days to run and from 50 questions I am struggling with 3 to finish. Any help appreciated please.
1. An Egyptian Queen perhaps (this is a butterfly)
2. A small centipede (this is in the insect section)
3. An awkward situation in the tropics ( this is a vegetable)
There are no numbers given for answers only categories.Thanks .

Thanks to all I can't find a Cleopatra either in my book of butterflies or on line .The millipede is bigger and the chilli is another answer but please keep trying and many thanks.

2 Cryptically a Milli is smaller than a Centi numerically so Millipede is a reasonable answer ??

Brilliant answer jj109 never thought outside Egypt. I think the insect refer to the number of legs so you may be right.
