Emmie....I thought the poor lady was amazing. The after effects of the surgery must have been difficult but she was so positive.

I wonder how the tumour got to be so big before they operated !
Thank you Mikey. She must be so relieved.
I remember many years ago when I was in hospital a young gypsy lady came in with a 5 stone tumour.
She had it removed and the expression on her young husbands face had to be seen to be believed. For months she had thought she was pregnant and hadn't gone to the doctors. She only went when she thought she was due to give birth.
Question Author
Yes, a Good News story.
dramatic loss of weight quite apart from the tumour ... I hope she gets on okay, she's so thin.
She does appear frail pre/ post surgery jno.
anne, I was thinking of that photo at 0:39 "a few months ago" when she appears a normal shape.
Yes, jno what a difference in a few months,
My goodness me, what a whopper. So pleased she could have it removed, good luck to her.
I hope that ALL that tumour is innocent without any evidence of cancer.
She looks cachectic.
they said it was cancerous, Sqad?
jno....ah! sorry...didn't see that.
Question Author
Sqad....I had to look that word up !

There must be significant danger of secondary cancers I would have thought. Not sure when the op. was performed, or how old this poor lady is.
what is cachetic.
so what is the prognosis, Sqad? can they simply make it go away by cutting it out? They seemed concerned that they remove the whole thing, but is that actually enough?
emmie - cachatic is when your metabolism changes in the end stages of cancer (that's why people get so thin) Maybe she is thin because the tumour was taking up her stomach space and she couldn't eat
*cachetic*
Cachectic: Having cachexia, physical wasting with loss of weight and muscle mass due to disease.
