Joint Hen/stag Do ????
16 Answers
Just been invited to my mate's stag do - except it's a joint hen/stag do!!
Call me old fashioned .... but eh ??
Am I out of touch here, but is this the new in thing??
How are we meant to have a laugh; get him wasted; handcuff him and take lots of embarrassing photos lol??
Don't get me wrong, we wouldn't be doing anything wrong, but to me, it just wouldn't feel the same with all those women there.
Anyone been on one of these - how did it compare to your typical separate stag party or hen do??

Seems like a really odd concept if you think about it, last night of freedom sort of thing. If you feel like that why get married. I think if I marry I wouldn't have one at all tbh.
Apparently ('cos I've just googled it), such occasions are referred to either as 'Stens' or 'Hag Dos'. I've been aware (through overheard conversations in bars, etc) of them becoming increasingly popular but, like you Gizmonster, I can't quite see what the objective is (other to to provide a good excuse for a party). The whole point of a stag party is meant to be to give the groom 'one last night out with the lads', which can't be repeated later on (and similarly with hen parties for the ladies), whereas there would seem to be no reason why the bride and groom couldn't have countless more parties with all their friends after they're married.
Pre-wedding events (whatever they're called) can get ruddy expensive for all concerned!

Still can't get my head round the concept of a joint hen/stag do.
It's not a hen or stag do as such is it?? It's just a mass drinking session for couples (and any singletons of course), which they can have at any time.
The one I'be been invited to isn't until September .... I'll probably go on it, even though I'm not too keen, just to see what it's all about.
