Mobile Phone Question

I am wanting to buy a mobile to use with a Goff Gaff sim.

Thats the phone I'm hoping fits the bill. It is sim free, does it also mean its not locked to any provider please ?

My pay monthly contract it coming to an end. I figure if I buy my own and use the GG sim it will suit me better.

No problem. Just put a GiffGaff SIM in it and it will work fine. (GiffGaff has many fans on AB. The only real rival to it, which I use myself, is the excellent Asda Mobile).
