can anyone translate the name futbolist which i beleive to be a ukranian name

My wife whose father was Ukrainian agrees! They tend to use words like that - they take the English version and 'ukrainianise' them eg 'biznizman' for businessman. Hope this helps - incidently - when people from Ukraine use the word 'biznizman' they are usually referring to gangster/mafia types - this is now rife over there - and I know because I've been there!!
