The nearest city to me is an hour drive away minimum
City? City? City?

The nearest city to me (to the north) is about 40 miles away. The next nearest cities (to the west and to the south) are each about 50 miles away.

My own town is (possibly) famous for being the birthplace of scientist Joseph Priestly (who discovered oxygen) and of actress June Brown.

The good people of Harwich might protest about the assumption that 'Mayflower' should make you think of Plymouth.

Harwich is promoted as 'Home of the Mayflower':
