How Exactly Is This Being Policed?
4 Answers
How exactly are the police dealing with 'lockdown'?
A few stories here and there (a few on AB) but I see no evidence of it so far from personal experience.
Both yesterday and today I have had to have a rest on my way home from work and on both occasions the police have passed me , creeping along in their panda cars, and not once have they stopped to question me, sitting alone on a deserted street in an abandoned city centre.
No doubt that plod, somewhere, is skulking for something to do. But no evidence here in stoke of the police wanting to question/arrest people. Or even question them as to why they are out.
YET!
Is there any protocol in place? Or is it all up to local plod as to what they deem lockdown?

There was a message on the local paper website, from the police, saying that they are not instigating roadblocks and the like. We go to The Embankment, everyday with Tilly, and not once has any police officer been seen between our home and the town centre.
Perhaps each force has their own strategy. Some of those Derbyshire police might be better to be assisting neighbouring counties to relieve them from the stringent cutbacks.

Well, I'm being good, as is almost everyone else so far as I can work out, but not seen any signs of policing. Tomorrow is the 9 - 10 a.m. hr. at Tesco's and we've just done a comprehensive list so I can be through as quickly as possible. If no decent steak I shall look on Mon. (Mr.J2's birthday is Tues.)
