Hi,

I found a round stone in the garden and it you could feel there was something in it when you shake it.

It was slightly larger than a big double marble.

I cracked it open with a hammer and it was made of flint like material but had a white power inside it. It is very fine power almost like talc.

Anyone have an idea about what it is (other than a stone lol) and what the powder is please?

It's the one and a half stone that someone I know lost last year.

I know it’s a flint ball but don’t know what the talc like dust is.

Interesting, Cassa and more so when I read Mamya's link...I knew nothing about flint balls.

Thanks Mamaya I had seen that one.

That one had a decayed fossil in it but this one is a talk like substance.

We are in a chalky area and thought it might be chalk but if it has been in their for eons it probably didn’t start out as chalk lol
