If someone tried to argue in court that he got away with it, why can't I? It would be rejected.

There have been many, many comments and observations about DC, which may have been totally accurate or may have been wide of the mark. Either way he doesn't care and he's just going to carry on. That's fine. Everyone else can do the same then.

because the hacks and journos dont know the law (*)
they do meedja at uni
they dont add either - that was why their reporting on modelling was so awful. - and why I twit them with "and fwee is a very large numba"
even the minister yesterday was getting his knickers in a terrible knot over police fines - er its something judges do innit?
(*) Trump was trying to exclude muslims and a bit of fluff said "the president ( the most powerful man on earth) can exclude whom he likes." In fact I had fun pointing out that the common law guaranteed entry to citizens since 1215. Yeah that one.
oh and whilst I am at it - twice a beeb hack referred to Hong Kong was autonomous. I told them it wasnt - and to look it up. It is a special economic area and not a special autonomous area like mongolia which everyone thinks it is.
whether or not FatPang ( Lord Patten that is!) allowed people to think he had negotiated autonomy when he hadnt because it was politically wise for him to do so is neither here or there
