Skechers. Particularly the go walk range. I am just a bit older than your Mum and Skechers are the only shoes I buy now in the warmer months. I have really bad arthritis in both feet. Sketchers are soft snd pliable and really, really comfortable. And some great colourways!
Sale on at the moment!
my neighbour wears Sketchers and has to walk "down" the back of them to make them flip flop. That's the only way she can walk on them.
My cousin took tremendous pain in her knee after wearing Sketchers and so had to abandon them. Your diabetic clinic should wear refer you to the correct shoe.
I have one pair of sketchers...my feet love them but my knees don't.
Just pulled them from the back of the closet...I'll see how they feel this summer.
Hotter shoes do half sizes ..I have just bought a pair of shoes at half price in their sale....several width fittings available. Worth a look...so comfortable! All styles!
I am in my late sixties and have the same problems as your mum. I have found Hotter EXF (width) great. I never buy them new, but have got some very good buys off ebay. It is worth having a look.
