It has just occurred to me that, by breaking words into their component parts (as your friend did), you can very quickly be converted from a non-believer (atheist) into a believer (a theist). The late Theland would, no doubt, have been delighted by that ;-)

It could have been worse. He might have been receiving treatment from Psycho the rapist ;-)

I suppose Psycho would have been worse than Hypno! It's the lovely Victorian ring about those names that amuses me. Like the artistes in "In Memory of Mr Kite, There Will be a Show Tonight...."

I always read THELAND to rhyme with "Zealand" and not as "The Land" so I was surprised when I found out about that.

Corby; snap!
Do we have any ShipMans on here or anybody called Preston or from that (fine and beautiful) city of the North-West?
How does this read to you?

I still remember a place called Penistone; somewhere up north (probably Yorkshire!)
What about shorturl.at/kvBTW
I'd actually visited Penistone many times before the alternative way of reading the name occurred to me. My schoolboy's sense of humour must have deserted me for a while ;-)
Let's make that clickable, TCL:

I shortened it so as not to give it away

Mamy; PMSL (if you'll excuse a quote from me old china) :-)
I'll report my reply and ask that it's removed, now it's on here 3 times.
The more the merrier. I posted again to see if I was doing something wrong.
Just for info, TCL, AB's server need the 'http' (or 'https') bit at the start of a URL to be able to recognise it as a link (and then make it clickable). That's why your first link didn't work.
